No — and I'll always be upfront about that. I'm an uncertified coach with 20+ years of budgeting and personal finance experience. It truly is my passion. I don't give licensed investment advice, and I don't manage your money. What I offer is a data-literate second set of eyes on your financial picture and honest, prioritized feedback.
A CFP is a great fit if you have complex investment portfolios, estate planning needs, or tax strategies that require a licensed professional. But for most people — especially those who feel behind, overwhelmed, or just want someone to look at their numbers honestly and tell them what to do first — a CFP is overkill. You don't need a surgeon for a check-up. What you need is someone who can read the numbers, cut through the noise, and give you a real plan without the $300/hour price tag. That's exactly what I do.
Nothing formal — just a general sense of your income, monthly expenses, any debt you're carrying, and what's been keeping you up at night financially. The more specific you can be, the more useful I can be. If you have access to a recent pay stub or account balances, that helps too. Sessions are over video call — or in person at a local Atlanta coffee shop if you're nearby.
